the day the earth shook

We will always remember this terrible, terrible day.

On the island of Bohol, the Church of our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon, built in 1727.



The Church of San Pedro in Loboc, 1638.



Santissima Trinidad Parish Church in Loay, 1815.

Our Lady of the Assumption in Dauis, 1916.


The Church of our Lady of Light in Loon, 1753.



And in Cebu, the Basilica del Santo Niño, 1740.

    Typhoons, landslides, ferries lost at sea and now a terrible earthquake, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the Philippines caught up in this natural disaster!
