Some people were dismayed when Starbucks opened here. They saw it as a sign of the irreversible over-commercialization of Boracay. But on a blistering day, it's a great relief to order a Frappuccino, hang around in free air-conditioning and read the papers. (Newspapers and magazines cost a fortune here, no kidding.)

I tried it at home. It's just as good. So now this is part of my Recipe Arsenal.
