New Year's eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights. ~ Hamilton Wright Mabie, 1846-1916
Well, I beg to differ. New Year's eve is UNLIKE every other night. For one thing, there are fireworks.
"My heart is ravisht with delight" is a line from the poem "Old Long Syne" written in 1711 by James Watson.
Note: All photos by Bunny Rabbit with his Nikon D90 and 18-200 lens. He's really good at it, 'no? The wind was quite fierce and blowing the fireworks all over the place, hence the blurriness. But the effect is pretty spectacular, I think.
Yup, they're spectacular! but i like the second to the last photo the most, superlatively spectacular...seems like the sky is afire...AWESOME!!!
