hangin' out

Some people were dismayed when Starbucks opened here. They saw it as a sign of the irreversible over-commercialization of Boracay. But on a blistering day, it's a great relief to order a Frappuccino, hang around in free air-conditioning and read the papers. (Newspapers and magazines cost a fortune here, no kidding.)

Java Espresso Chip Frap and Apple Fritter

Bacon Quiche

I found this recipe in one of the magazines-- can't remember which one. It's very similar to Real Coffee's Jack-A-Lean Omelette, which I mentioned here.

I tried it at home. It's just as good. So now this is part of my Recipe Arsenal.
