random snacking

A cupcake should be eaten with the hands, not with a fork. Peel off the paper, take a bite, share with a loved one. Heaven!

The caramel cupcake at Frostings

We sampled some wheat grass. It's the healthy beverage du jour. It was quite refreshing. It tasted like the smell of freshly cut grass from the garden. (I can't say it tasted like grass because I've never eaten grass-- just smelled it.) If you've tried wheat grass, you know exactly what I mean.

Lemon-flavored wheat grass juice

There's no escaping Starbucks. For me, the most fun part of the Starbucks experience is getting your drink and seeing how they misspelled your name on the cup-- never the same spelling twice!

Dark Roast Coffee Jelly Frappuccino

Frozen yoghurt is the healthy dessert du jour. So many outlets have mushroomed all over the city, but this is my favorite brand. I always top my fro-yo with fresh strawberries, kiwis and blueberries.

typo nation?

For the record, let me say that I am the first to blog about this:

So... Is it a typographical error? Or did he really say that?

Either way, it's hilarious and depressing at the same time. If it's a typo, then shame on the Philippine Star. As a top newspaper, they should be used to "living inside a fishball".

If Jinggoy really said it that way, then... I have no words, really. He's a senator, for gad's sake.

Ang saya-saya talaga dito sa Pinas.

light show

I am still posting pictures from our trip to Manila last August. Isn't it amazing how light, or the lack of it, changes the look and mood of a subject?

Nightfall

I used a tripod. As usual, the camera was set on Auto. As it got darker, the shutter speed adjusted by itself.

bananarama

I am so-ooo craving this right now!

The banoffee pie at Banapple.

Food review: This is 65 pesos well-spent. Everything about it is perfect-- the cream, the bananas, the chocolate. Go taste it now.

The other cake slice behind it is the cheesecake. Not so good. You will just regret not getting the banoffee, so forget it.

looking up

I keep my Lumix LX3 in my bag-- always. It's great to be able to take pictures whenever something interesting presents itself.

This camera has changed the way I see ordinary, everyday things... like ceilings.

I have started to read the instruction manual. I got stuck on "Aperture", though. I think I need someone to explain it to me in simpler terms.
